I think I’ve figured Sonic the Hedgehog out…

levpolyakov:

Having found Sonic games appealing since a young age, I’ve always wondered what exactly it was that attracted a core group to this character despite having many games that didn’t live up to expectation. Then I started meditating and reading up on ancient religions & esoteric mysticism… today it all hit me at once:

Then I went deeper…

And even deeper…

Final Thoughts…

For Millennia, information about non-physical things were usually disseminated by prophets who would gather people around them (back when most people were either working for survival or bored as hell). This esoteric knowledge was passed down through mystery cults, parts of which were spread passively through religion in order to survive. Were people to see “prophets” today, they’d just call them crazy and cross the street to avoid them, so the deeper message had to survive through other means. Especially when most people are too busy to bother with figuring why we are here in a world so full of noise in the form of entertainment that the Ego feeds on with an insatiable hunger.

The only way to keep the message would then be to contain the signal within the noise.. in the more recent past this could be seen in the harmonious music of Mozart, then the mind expanding rock music of the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, etc (as well as re-introducing the world to psychedelics that had long ago been instrumental in cultures connecting with the divine)

Today, most music is pretty bland and empty (and raised a generation of bland and empty people) but I don’t think the signal itself has stopped being broadcast. My hope is that we all try to figure out what exactly we are here for based on the wisdom of those who had to use their minds hell of a lot more than we need to today, but this means not taking the time we have here for granted and making the most of it. I encourage everyone to dig deeper & make each moment count.. work on your body and mind & recover what was lost.

The signals are around us in the most unlikely of places but whether or not you want to listen and learn is up to you.

It is the mission of Sacred Geometry International and The Cosmographic Research Institute to investigate and document the catastrophic history of the world and the evidence for advanced knowledge in earlier cultures; through educational programs to advance a deeper understanding of the implications of this knowledge for both past and the future of planet Earth and Human civilization upon it; and to promote strategies for successfully coping with the inevitable change that is to come.

5 Ways To Return Your Vibrational Frequency To Its Natural State

awakenedvibrations:

On the other end of the spectrum we have higher frequency vibrations which would be that which is unseeable to the human eye, unhearable to the human ear and undetectable by our current level of comprehension. Spirit is something that would be considered of a high vibrational frequency.

Sam’s Guide to Ego Death

panatmansam:

“ Everything around me is evaporating. My whole life, my memories, my imagination and its contents, my personality—it’s all evaporating. I continuously feel that I was someone else, that I felt something else, that I thought something else. What I’m attending here is a show with another set. And the show I’m attending is myself. “

— Fernando Pessoa

In the above quote Pessoa was describing death of ego. The process of “ego death” or as William James called it “deflation at depth” often involves some disturbing, but temporary, effects:

1. a feeling of impending doom;

2. a feeling of urgency that something needs to be resolved

3. lack of comfort from things which previously gave comfort

4. an urge to escape

5. an urge to isolate

6. a feeling of unreality

7. a feeling of loss of identity

8. a feeling of fear but without cause

9. loss of appetite

10. constant thoughts of death, not suicide, but the idea of death

Ego death is not enlightenment. It is not nirvana. It is not samadhi. It is an naturally occurring state in the human mind which has been subjected to intense stress. It causes a kind of “mental reset” which allows the human mind to have a fresh start. A “tabula rasa” or blank slate. Old patterns of though are wiped clean allowing an all new means of thinking and behaving. All over the world in every culture primitive or modern this phenomena is known. It is used in military training to change  boys into soldiers and in tribal cultures to train shamanic  acolytes and to see visions.

In some it is brought by circumstances after a tragedy, illness, accident, drug or alcohol use, deep personal loss or spiritual crises. In others it is brought about deliberately by intense periods of prayer, meditation, fasting, scourging or self denial. Medieval monks fasted and whipped themselves. Native Americans used fasting, peyote, datura, psilocybin or self torture in rituals such as the sundance. In India they would use meditation, cannabis  self starvation and chanting. Australian aborigines used marathon dancing and chanting and various fermented plant substances.

After a transitional period many experience a preternatural calm. You will feel exhausted but in a pleasant way, spent, like after lovemaking. You will sense a new meaning to life. Fear will evaporate. You will see connections between people, events and places you never saw before. Others will comment that you seem “different” or “glowing”. People will seek you out for counsel and to help them “get what you have”.
